AL House is a rehabilitation study of a house located in the centre of Guimarães. With its very own characteristics, the result of an architectural design from an experimental modernist era, this project aims to maintain its primitive essence.

The intervention is the result of an adaptation to the user’s needs, allowing for greater flow in the interior space in order to create an interior dynamic that is more versatile and adaptable to current times.

The goal is to use the same colour palette as the exterior materials, safeguarding and enhancing the interior comfort of the house, as an allusion to the pre-existence, namely white and the use of wood elements. However, the exterior design was reformulated and redesigned to reflect a more contemporary and updated character.
