This project was born out of a fire that disrupted the rhythm of the house and, with it, the routines of those who lived there. More than just rebuilding walls, it was about understanding the urgency of the moment and responding with the speed that the situation demanded.

The apartment, marked by rigid compartments and defined functions, no longer reflected today’s ways of living. The intervention was an opportunity to breathe new life into the space. We brought in more light, more air and, above all, more freedom.

Freedom so that the spaces would no longer be just rooms, bedrooms or corridors. So that they would instead be places open to interpretation and change. Designed not to impose functions, but to welcome them, today with one function, tomorrow with another.

This is not just a refurbishment project. It is a project to understand the house, its memories, but also the current needs of those who live in it. Because, ultimately, a house is always that: a living body, capable of adapting, growing and starting over.
